East Bay Watershed Center Forum Meetings and Conferences: The East Bay Watershed Center hosted "Conversations about Watersheds" at Merritt College, January 2005. Archived information on the conference can be found at www.mountaincurrent.net/~ebwc/. Other conferences are in the planning stages.

Eco-Wave Conference: The Eco-Wave Conference in Ecological Design at Merritt College is coordinated by the San Francisco Institute of Architecture. In 2003 and 2004, the conference drew prominent international speakers on ecological design and architecture. Visit www.sfia.net for more information.

Hillside Restoration Days: The Environmental Program manages the hillside below the Environmental Center as part of a study on wildfire management and native plant revegetation. This event, held twice a year in spring and fall, offers hands-on learning and a fun way to make a difference.

Environmental Center Green Building Days: Volunteer to help with installation and maintenance of our center and equipment.

Annual Graduation Celebration BBQ and Potluck: The Environmental Program honors its graduates and alumni with a barbecue and potluck, held at the end of the spring semester every year.

Environmental Center and Self-Reliant House Tours: Group and individual tours of the Self-Reliant House and Environmental Center and Resourceful Showcase are scheduled according to demand. If you are interested in a tour, please contact the Environmental Center.
