Department Overview

The Mexican and Latin American Studies program offers opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of the history and current experience of the Latin American people in the U.S. Caribbean and Central and South America.  In addition, the aim is to locate the experiences of Latin American people in a larger global context in terms of identity, culture, sociology, history and economic relations between nations.
