The Merritt College Psychology Department is a core part of a liberal arts education. As such, psychology is committed to the development of new knowledge regarding the basis of behavior, psychological processes, and the place of psychology within the area of liberal arts.

The discipline of psychology is a core part of a liberal arts education. As such, psychology is committed to the development of new knowledge regarding the bases of behavior, psychological processes, and the place of psychology within the area of liberal arts. An important aspect of psychology is the dissemination of and application of psychological knowledge so as to improve the understanding of behavior and how to use psychological knowledge to improve daily life.

Degrees & Certificates

Psychology – AA-T Degree Psychology – AA-T Degree

The Associate in Arts in Psychology for Transfer (AA - T) degree is intended to meet the lower division requirements for Psychology majors (or majors that have been deemed similar in the CSU system).
