Laptop Loan Program

Guidelines for Borrowing a Laptop
- Students must be enrolled in at least six units and identify Merritt College as their home campus.
- Students must complete a FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA).
- Students must be part of a support program or learning community (e.g., EOPS, CalWORKs, Dreamer Resource Center, Sankofa, Puente, NextUp, SAS, AANPHI, COSER, etc.)
- A student must return their laptop immediately should they withdraw from their courses.
- Students should immediately notify the library for an exchange if they are issued a defective laptop.
- Students acknowledge that if they fail to return the laptop in a timely manner or in an acceptable condition, they will be charged for the repair or replacement of the machine.
- Laptops are loaned to students on a semester-to-semester basis.
- Laptops may NOT be returned in the library book drop.
