Lady T-Birds
State Hall of Fame

Congratulations to the  following Lady T-Birds and coaches who have been inducted into the State Hall of Fame for CCCWBCA (California Community Colleges Women’s Basketball Coaches Association):

1. Yasmin Gray – Player of the year 1985-87 in CNC & All-State, All CONF. in GGC, All- CONF. Pac 10 2^nd team @ Oregon State – In her two years she was the leader of 2 championships and 1 final 4, and 1 final 8 in state tournament. Top “10” at Merritt in scoring, FG %, FT %. She is a graduate of Oregon State and works in law enforcement.

2. Tidra Hardy – 1988-90 All – BVC 2x’s, and Player of the year, All – State – Sun Belt player of the year @ Florida International – Her two seasons at Merritt were 2 BVC championships. She was major factor in getting Merritt to the Final “8” both years. She has her Masters degree and works in trauma rehab in Florida. She is in the top “10” in scoring, FG%, FT%, rebounds, steals, and blocked shots.

3. Inga Marciulionis – 1990-92 Player of the Year and Coach of the Year: All – BVC 2x’s, All – State & All-State Player of the Year. Coach of the year BVC – Her two years 2 championships one final 8, and one final 16. Her individual records are: most points scored in one game 50, most FG made 19, most consecutive FT 27, most consecutive 3 point FG made 9, most assist in one game 18. Her individual season records: most points 750, FGM 274: Career top ten scoring, FG%, FT%, steals, assist, 3 PT FGM: she is now Merritt College Department Chair and Athletic Director.

4. Jurate Zukauskaite – 1994-97 as a Player: All – BVC 2x’s & Player of the Year for All-State, Kodak All American & Student/Athlete All American – Top student/athlete at San Diego State for 2 years. Her two years at Merritt, 2 championships – 1 final 4 and 1 final 8. Her individual records at Merritt for one game: most FTM, most 3 PT. FG. Season records: most 3 PT. FGM, most FTM. Career top 10 in scoring, FG%, FT%, steals, assists, 3 point FGM and blocked shots.

5. Fred Brown  – 1980-1997 and 2013-2015 Coach of the Year 6 times, Northern California State coach of the year. – 404 wins and 187 losses in 19 years – 13 championships – 4 final 4’s, 8 final 8’s, State Playoffs a total of 15 times.

6. Audrey Moore –  1986-88 -1988 All-State-All Tournament in State Finals 1987. In 1988 Academic All-Conference, All CGC 2^nd Team 1987, All BVC 1^st Team 1988. Graduated from McClymonds H.S in 1986. 1986-88 Merritt College, and 1988-91 Oregon State Graduate. She is married – living and working in Sacramento. She was Merritt College Top – 10 in Scoring – Career FT% – FG% – Assists – 3PT FG – Steals.
